Not all types of cancer can be treated with equal success. Some forms of cancer can be cured and others can be treated so that patients’ lives can be prolonged.
 
No patients are allowed to come to Tianjin Cancer Hospital without the doctors having reviewed all the material and given an answer to whether they think they can give a treatment.

They should know everything about the current patient’s health status, ie. weight before and during the illness, chronic diseases, previous operations, if he/she is a smoker / non smoker, daily pain, daily medication, food habits, exercise etc. All the data is an important part of the final decision concerning the treatment.

                  
Case history and scanning should be translated into English and sent to us here in Tianjin and then we will participate in a meeting with the doctors. Having analyzed all the information, the medical records and scanning - the doctors will provide a written response to the possibility of a treatment and what treatments they think might be possible.

 
As something completely new there has been video-conference introduced between doctors and patients, so doctors through video can make a better assessment of the patient’s condition and of what treatments they can offer.
 
To create a video interview, it is necessary to have Skype installed on your computer and to have a webcam, microphone and speakers.

                                     
A standard treatment plan can only be determined when the patient is physically present.
 
All the medical records and scans must be sent to us as a recorded delivery with either UPS or DHL.
 
We can also suggest that scans and records can be uploaded to our FTP server.
However, this requires a reasonably fast internet upload speed. To upload a scan it has to be a mirror image of the scanning and this must be saved as an ISO file.
Case history is also necessary – it has to be scanned and sent as a PDF file via email.
